I've never been to a baby shower. My cousin Jemma is expecting in October and she was having a baby shower and I was invited. Unfortunately I couldn't make it (so I still haven't been to one!) but since I was invited I thought that I should at least make a little card for the occasion. Here is what I came up with:
Just a simple card, paper pieced pram, die cut words and I sewed on a couple of vintage buttons for the pram wheels. Not sure if this is appropriate for a baby shower, but I sent it anyway!!!

I can't believe you've never been to a baby shower, gasp! The one I remember best (besides Nolan's) is one where we had to taste 30 different types of baby food and guess what they were. Me, not being a mom yet, won a prize for guessing the least amount correct - I only got 1 right! And then we (well, they) sat around talking about kids and when they first walked/talked and what their worst poop was like and I thought: "Oh. My. God. I hope I am NEVER this boring!" Haha! Anyway, love the card, the buttons are so clever! Aww, this is cute Carole, I'm sure it's the perfect card to send. I've never been to a baby shower either, although, when I was pregnant with Zach ten years ago! Did go out for lunch with all my girly working pals, and they made a bit of a fuss of me, with lots of baby gifts, is that the same thing? not sure, lol!
