Father's Day

Apologies for my lack of blogging this past week, but I have had my Mum staying with me and we were busy busy busy!  However, I did manage to get my Father's Day cards made before Mum arrived (both the same, one for my step dad and one for my FIL):

I also did a small amount of crafting over this past weekend, two tags for gifts:

I again used the vintage comic/black/kraft combination for the tag for my FIL's gift and a small scrap of Basic Grey and other scraps for my MIL's tag.

According to their weight chart, our kittens are gaining weight although to us they don't really seem much bigger (especially Pickle who is still tiny).  However, they have been back to the vet for the first round of injections and have an appointment for the second lot, and the vet seems pleased with their progress.  In fact it was very much a family day out as we took all four pets for their boosters/injections at the same time in order to achieve a 20% discount which, as those of you with pets will know, is not to be sniffed at!  The kittens are also getting a lot braver around the dogs and are coming downstairs on their own accord, so all is going well!

  1. Lovely cards, tags, and of course the kittens!
    Hugs, Valerie

  2. Wow, you are a BRAVE woman taking 4 animals to the vet, AT THE SAME TIME!!! What was the car ride like? I know my old cat was petrified of car rides, but then again we didn't have a kennel to put him in - maybe that would've helped? Anyway, love your card(s) and the tags are great! That pinwheel is fabulous!!! I hope everyone really appreciates your hard work! Hugs, Roxy.

  3. Love the cards and tags but especially love the cute kitties.
    Hugs xx
I'm with Roxy on the bravery..yikes, I know 20% off at vets is a good deal..but all 4 at once?!!!

  4. Love your card and tags Carole - love your style! You've reminded me that I have pinwheel templates lying somewhere......... in my shabby shed!

Those kittens are just cute beyond words. BTW my friend is getting a Spinnone pup in July - all because I showed her a pic of Ollie some months back!

    Hugs and sparkles

  5. OK, I think that I might have mislead you lovely ladies somewhat. It's true that WE did take all four pets to the vet at the same time, but there were two of us as well, as Alex came along with me. Alex had the kittens in their cat carrier (although when they are bigger we will need to take two carriers) and I was in charge of the dogs, so it really wasn't as bad as I might have made out (and a saving of £40 after the discount kind of made up for any stress anyway!)
