This layout is a result of trying to be clever and combine both one of my class prompts and a challenge that Katy set us for this week's crop. The class prompt was to be inspired by patchwork quilts and quilting, and Katy's challenge was just to use just scraps with extra points for using the title "Just the Two of Us". Here's what I came up with (inspired by a LO I saw on Pinterest) :
I made a little cardboard template at home but cut out all the hexagons and inked all the edges at the crop, whilst having a jolly good laugh! I must say, this is something different for me, but I'm pleased with how it turned out (and even more pleased that quite by accident, I managed to get some trendy chevrons on my page!!!)

ReplyDeleteHey, Carole, I LOVE this!!! I think I say that about everything you do, but this looks really cool! I love the monochromatic look, and the hexagons are really fresh. I also really like the little flowers you added and how you overlapped a couple hexagons over you pic. Really great page, hugs, Roxy. P.S. How's your little cat doing?
ReplyDeleteHi Carole, I'm in!!!!! All your layouts are wonderful (as always!) Lovely to talk to you the other week :) I've been crafting away like no tomorrow, and working wonders on my Dad's 70th album, OMG! What a task!!! I can hardly move for the amount of crafty bits scattered for miles, and seem to have burried myself amongst the lot, lol! Using my lappy, but my PC seems to have died in terms of updating my blog and comments, but at least I'm in now, hurray!!! Time for lots of blogging catch up me thinks. BTW, bought some wonderful new D Ring albums from QVC and they are fab!!!!
