Fancy a walk Morris?
This was the layout that I did at last week's crop. The photo was taken on Christmas Eve 2010, when we actually had some snow and wintry weather. We always had to be so careful to check when we set off down the road with the dogs that Morris (our cat) wasn't following, he didn't like to be left out! In the photo we are quite a way down the road from our house, so after the photo was taken we had to take him back and pop him indoors!
I used a doily on the kraft background to represent a snowflake, then some Basic Grey Figgy Pudding papers and some lovely snowflakes with gems. The layout came together quite well, but I had much difficulty in deciding where to put the journalling - so it was lucky that I was at the crop at the time and had some expert advice on hand (thanks Katy and Angela!)

It was both sweet and annoying when we used to set off on a dog walk only to find Mr Morris following us down the road. It was like he didn’t want to miss out. On numerous occasions I had to run back and shut him in the house as otherwise he would head right back after us!
ReplyDeleteI looked at this page a couple of days ago, and now I'm finally getting back here to comment! I really, really, REALLY love this page, the doily is fantastic and I LOVE where you've put the journaling!!! And then there's old Morris, he was so cute - what a funny story! And as for the Smash book, I haven't really got a concept except for I've got a page for each of us and then I'm just sticking in a bunch of stuff I like - I have no idea how it's going to turn out but I'm over it and just love having somewhere to stick my little cards and tags I've saved over the years. Oh, and it gets rid of scraps, too! Hugs to you, my friend, Roxy.
ReplyDeleteHi Carole, love all your recent layouts, they are really beautiful and the one with when the kids were smaller, is just so cute too, love them all! Hope your little cat is on the mend, ooops! no pun intended there :)Really hope he is ok, poor little thing.
