I'm a little confused at the moment as to which "head" I currently have on, my Scrapbooking head or my Smash head (that sounds so wrong, but you know what I mean!) Ideally, I would be able to switch between the two, but I do tend to get a bit stuck on one or the other!
So, I managed to break my Scrapbooking run and do this new Smash double page:
It's all about what we would like to do in our garden (half of our garden is done and is nice, the other half is most definitely NOT) ...
Since we are talking Smash pages, here are a couple I did a little while ago (not as pleased with them, but hey ho, they are part of my book anyway!)
This next one was on a page that I had thought that I would cover over completely, but ended up going with it (and maybe that is part of the reason that I don't love it?)
This page now means a little more to me, as I was in hospital yesterday, and part of the recovery was a cup of tea and some toast and marmalade - good job too as the oral morphine they gave me for the pain made me all woozy and I nearly passed out, so not only is it a guilty pleasure but also a bit of a life saver!!!

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you were in hospital...hope you're recovering well.
Hugs xx
Great pages, Carole!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you had been in hospital. Hope you feel better soon!
Wow, I know I read this post, I must have meant to come back and leave you a message, so I apologize profusely for not doing so! You know what's funny is I've got supplies gathered to do a vintage smash page, too! Haven't done much for gardening here, actually about to go work on a scrapbook layout about that, and I would never think to do a toast page - that is a clever and unique idea!!! Hope you're feeling much better after your hospital stay, get well soon, hugs, Roxy.
ReplyDeleteYou could have a sheet of vellum adhered on the right hand side with washi.. so it's a sort of flap.. and then Smash on the vellum about your hospital stay and how that page now has more meaning... then you lift up the vellum and see the original page :D
ReplyDeleteOK.. waffling! I remember first seeing your gardening smashes and being in love! I hate my handwriting so much and seeing you fill your pages with abundance.. and it looking fantastic.. inspires me to be brave!
I'm really enjoying looking over your blog.. your scrapbook pages are gorgeous!
I hope you're better now x
