Afternoon Tea

This afternoon, we invited our friends over for afternoon tea which we had outside in the garden. This morning, I baked a batch of carrot cupcakes with orange cream cheese frosting, and Alex baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Both went down very well!!!


The only crafting I am managing to do at the moment is my cross stitching, and it is coming on quite well -


(well done Alma for guessing what it is!)

The reason for my lack of crafting is "Glee"!!! Having Alex at home with me permanently means that she doesn't want me disappearing off into my Crafty Corner for hours on end. Add to that, her friend has lent her the box set of the first series of "Glee" and she wanted company to watch them ... we are currently on episode 10 of 13. Tomorrow Alex should hear if she got the job that she had an interview for last weekend ..... (!)

    YUM they look good enough to eat, lol... you're x stitch is coming along nicely though carole, even if alex is MAKING YOU watch dvd's with her, lol...

    Are you sure you're really on a diet?
    this has to be the best diet yet! lol!

    Your x stitch is beautiful!!!! I can really see how it's coming together now, and the injection of the blue makes it very muted and soft, and ofcourse I adore the love heart!
    Where is this one going Carole? your fab new kitchen or your scrummy crafty corner?
    And what about your beautiful doggy one? Have you found a nice home for ityet , or still waiting to get it framed?

    Also, Carole I'm soooooo sorry for the delay on your ATC. The mad thing is, I've had it a few weeks now and all ready to post to you. But it's now hidden amongst all the packing madness! And all my crafty bits are packed up too :(
    I'm so cross with myself, and have to find it!!!!
    I promise to search for it over the week-end and forward it on to you.
    Hope I can be forgiven for it being late :)

    Suzie - you have to have a little treat every now and then don't you?! Would you believe me if I said that I didn't have one of the cookies? Did have two cupcakes though ...

    Thank you for the lovely comments about my cross stitching. Still not sure what to do with it when it's finished, I might make it into a cushion or I have got one of those calico bags that I could alter ...

    Sadly, my dog picture is still waiting to be framed, I haven't been to The Range to see if they do a suitable sized ready made frame, so don't want to rush to the picture framers just yet ...

    Please don't worry about my ATC, I know that you are up to your neck at the moment! Whenever you find it, that's fine with me! Thanks Suzie xxx
